“I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.” — L.M Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

Living in the sweltering plains of Oklahoma, I’d rather wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always October. But no matter how much one dislikes heat, bugs, snakes, humidity and such pleasantries, you have to admit there is something beautiful about summer (no matter where you live) -especially as a child. If summers are your struggle too, maybe a short jaunt down memory lane, back to how you enjoyed summer as a child, would be just the cherry needed on the root beer float (or whatever your favorite cherry topped, cool delight might be) to bring back a little wonder.

So I wonder, what is your favorite childhood memory of summer?

Hello Artistry friends!

With June coming to an end we wanted to touch base and share a few new pieces with you that have emerged from our work spaces. More details on available pieces will be on our individual pages soon.

Sarah has been learning a new Scandinavian weaving technique called Krokbragd. This method makes wonderfully thick wool rugs and wall hangings. Her first venture into it was inspired by one of her favorite places in the world, the Bay of Fires in Tasmania, Australia, and has found its home in her room…

…along with Karin’s artwork depicting the Bay of Fires from one of her photos.

Oh la la!! Sarah can’t wait to cut this rug off the loom and finish it, but there’s one more project to go before she can, so stay tuned for a July reveal!
Ohhh hi there 🙂

If you are at all wondering, new woodland friends are appearing. Here is Mama rabbit and her darling baby bunny. She has a surprise in her purse that has something to do with ducks. 🙂

And if you are wondering what it has to do with ducks, you’ll have to click on the link to our Instagram where the video is posted. 🙂

And one more… this is for Jen 🙂 Anytime you are ready, your Holstein friend is here. She is a shy one, but cannot wait to meet you!

Also Karin updated her page with her adventures painting the Back Alleys of Guthrie. Here’s the link CANVAS. Just scroll down to read.

A sneak peak of a new painting…

And that, friends, is a wrap for June. May you wonder your way through these beautiful summer months and find many tree canopies to rest under.

“…let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him, for He shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders.” ~ Deuteronomy 33:12

Thank you so much for being here and your continual support.

Love from all of us at the Artistry
